Position Overview
Mammography Technologists will:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms with high image quality
- Follow physician protocols and accurately position patients for exams
- Operate breast imaging equipment safely
- Ensure patient safety during procedures, including maneuvering disabled patients if needed
Essential Job Functions
- Position patients to obtain high-quality mammogram images: 70% of time
- Perform QC/QA on equipment as indicated: 10% of time
- Complete patient history and exam properly in the RIS system: 10% of time
- Identify and notify about schedule issues proactively: 10% of time
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Adhere to the Radiologic Technologist Code of Ethics
- Identify challenges and offer solutions in department workflow
- Knowledge of ACR process and MQSA regulations
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain department cleanliness and stock supplies for next shift
- Treat all coworkers with respect and work proactively to provide solutions
- Accept accountability for results, timelines, and completeness
Management Responsibilities
- This position does not involve managing others
Requirements
Education Required:
- ARRT registered in Mammography
- FL State License
- MQSA compliant for Digital and 3D Mammography
- BLS Certification
Experience:
- 2 years of related work experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Energetic, motivated, and patient care oriented
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Physical & Working Requirements
- Able to work on your feet for the duration of your shift
- Ability to bend/reach while positioning difficult patients
