We have available positions for experienced Diagnostic Sonographers, including PRN and full-time opportunities at our Beach Boulevard location in Jacksonville, Florida. $7500 Sign-On Bonus to qualified candidates!
We are seeking experienced Sonographers to join our growing team. Breast Ultrasound experience and Breast Registry with ARDMS is required.
Position Overview:
Ultrasound Technologists perform sonographic examinations ordered by referring physicians to deliver excellent service and patient care. This includes creating a calming environment to help patients adhere to examination instructions.
Essential Functions:
- Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper file identification.
- Demonstrate competency in all diagnostic ultrasound procedures, especially breast ultrasounds, and the operation of related equipment.
- Greet patients, obtain medical history, and input information into the system.
- Perform scans according to guidelines and company protocols.
- Maintain logs and process paperwork for biopsies.
- Review patient charts/requisitions to determine correct room setup and ensure the exam matches the diagnostic need.
- Utilize sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
- Manage all clinical aspects of the ultrasound suite, including maintaining room cleanliness.
- Scrub future patient schedules to verify that orders and exams are accurate and prior images are available before patient arrival.
- Maintain CPR certification.
- Provide coverage as needed for call-outs or extended schedules.
- Ensure a positive patient experience by explaining procedures and follow-up steps.
- Maintain communication with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families.
- Consistently produce diagnostic-quality images and perform quality assurance on both images and equipment.
- Pursue continuing education as necessary and maintain license in good standing.
- Assist with inventory, room stocking, and maintaining clean dressing rooms.
- Help with laundry as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Experience and Personal Characteristics:
- Strong work ethic and ability to accomplish assigned tasks.

Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited course in ultrasonic technology.
- ARDMS Certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Breast Ultrasound experience; Breast Registration with ARDMS.
- Proficient in OB/GYN, Vascular, and General Ultrasound.
- BLS Certification.
