Essential Job Functions
- Take patient medical history before exams: 10%
- Interpret doctors’ written scanning instructions correctly: 10%
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation: 10%
- Position patients using immobilization devices for optimal image quality: 10%
- Set technical parameters, operate X-ray machines, and observe image data: 30%
- Evaluate X-rays for quality and determine if repeats are necessary: 10%
- Assist radiologists with arthrograms: 10%
- Support other modalities when needed: 10%
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Restock supplies and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Regularly sanitize waiting and procedure rooms
Qualifications
- ARRT(R) certified
- BLS certified
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with radiologic procedures
Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in radiologic procedures
- Venipuncture skills
- Flexibility to adapt as needed within the center
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs from ground to waist level
