Precision Imaging Centers is currently hiring Radiologic Technologists for an exciting opportunity to grow your career. The ideal candidate will hold a current license as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of Florida and be registered with the ARRT.
Position Overview: As an X-Ray Technologist, you will be responsible for providing quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring a positive patient experience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Take patient medical history before an exam (10%).
- Interpret doctors’ written scanning instructions (10%).
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and ensure cooperation (10%).
- Position patients and use immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specific areas of the body (10%).
- Set appropriate technical parameters, operate X-ray equipment, and observe image data on computer monitors (30%).
- Evaluate X-rays for technical quality and the necessity of repeats (10%).
- Assist radiologists with arthrograms (10%).
- Assist other modalities as needed (10%).
Non-Essential Job Functions:
- Restock supplies.
- Routinely sanitize waiting and procedure rooms.
Requirements:
- ARRT (R) and Florida Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist.
- BLS certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Previous Related Work Experience Preferred:
- Medical Terminology (1 year preferred).
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and radiological procedures.
- Venipuncture skills.
Physical and Working Requirements:
- Ability to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds from ground to waist level.
Work Availability / Hours:
- Various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. No overnight shifts.
