Open Upright MRI
An upright MRI, also known as a weight-bearing MRI, is a specialized medical imaging system that allows for the scanning of the spine and other musculoskeletal structures while the patient is in a weight-bearing, standing, sitting, or other position. Unlike traditional MRI machines, which require patients to lie down in a horizontal position, upright MRI machines offer a more dynamic and functional approach to imaging.
The ability to scan patients in different positions is particularly useful for diagnosing conditions or injuries that may only be apparent when the body is under the stresses of gravity.
